BC on Autism Episode 15: RNA Quackery: Shaken, Not Stirred

Click to Play
Formats available: Quicktime (.mov), Flash Video (.flv)
running time = 7m 11sec or so.

Why the blazes would you ever want to put a mole of nucleotides or oligonucleotides into your mouth? Very simple: because you've been told it'll cure autism, that's why. It'll also cure heavy wallet syndrome, and who really wants a big old lump in your back pocket making the derrier look all lopsided and such? Just a quick look at pH and RNase-induced transesterification. Remember, you have a filthy mouth, whether you swear like Cartman or not.

For the RNAphiles, I'm not even getting into depurination or anything. Just the basics.

Hey Cool. I really enjoy your lecture videos. Always nice to learn a few things without spitting any coffee on the keyboard.

I'm pretty sure there are some compounds in coffee that can inhibit RNAase though.

I think Amy Yasko knows enough about RNA to know she is out right lying about the metal binding and anti-viral capabilities of RNA-drops but at $100 per bottle she's got a good thing going. Shhhhh

But Dr. Amy loves us.

JB Handley from April of '05.
*****************************
Background:

Jamison is now 2 yrs 8 months old and began chelating with TD-DMPS at the beginning of October, 2004.

Update:

As of 4 weeks ago, Jamison has begun to talk at an increasing pace. Our greatest joy right now is to sing Old Macdonald to Jamie, and after we say "..and on that farm he had a...", Jamie screams either "pig!" or cow!" It is an unbelievable sight.

His eye contact and awarenes of those around him continues to grow. He really, really looks at people to the point of making our nanny cry tears of joy after some "staring seesions" between them.

Last night, I was pitching baseballs to our older son, Sam (5 - NT). Jamie was running around the ayrd, doing his own thing, as usual. All of a sudeen, he picked up a bunch of the plastic balls I was pitchin Sam, came over to me, and started to hand me the balls, one at a time, as I pitched them to Sam. Sam, who has no real relationship with Jamie because Jamie has not been here, got so fired up he wanted to know what position Jamie was ("feeder"), what his name was (we settled on "Yogi Berra"), and what team he was on (he was on the Yankees with me, Sam was the Marlins). You could have knocked me over with a feather.

We have decided that for Jamie the "Therapeutic Triplet" of the following are core to his treatment:

1. TD-DMPS. I would encourage parents with children of any age to plan on a minimum of 24 months with TD-DMPS. If you are worried about a lack of results after 6, 9, or 12 months. (If Dr. Buttar says an 11 year-old may only flip burgers, fuck him, how does he know?")

2. RNA Metals. We believe Dr. Yasko is the real deal. Her simple theory is that the MMR vaccine takes host in the body and holds metals in place. Metals I, II, and III (3 separate RNA drop bottles) are designed to remove Measals, Mups, and Rubella, respectively. So far, we are about 80% of the way through Metals I on BOTH boys and WOW!!! The stimming for Jamie went WAY up and Sam has been super-aggressive.
These are great signs, we feel, because it means metals are coming out.
Jamie's huge recently leap in cognition ties directly to the introduction of Metals and, yes, we have continued TD-DMPS the whole time.

3. HBOT. Jamie is only on session #8 (of 40, so he's 20% done). He LOVES the chamber (one of us is in there with him), and bounds out of the thing like a jumping bean!! These past 12 days, he's never slept better, never been more emphatic about his needs, and never had a clearer head. We've interviewed enough HBOT operators to say with conviction: this shit works.

If I had an older child and was frustrated with TD-DMPS progress, I would add in Metals I, II and III and find a way to do HBOT over the summer. Yes, all this stuff is expensive and, yes, I would just make
it work.

Love to all,

JB

BC, is it true that Measles Mumps and Rubella all hang on to Heavy Metals? Wow, those are some talented bugs aren't they?

Why in my mind's eye do I see stick drawings of doggies... first doggies with strange tails, and then a group of several doggies?

Next time I shall watch a BC video before I have my evening glass (or two) of wine.

Tell "dr" Amy that I love doggies. Tell JB that he is a fool (well, then again so is Yasko!).

Man,
JB will shill for any old quack treatment.

It must be enbarrassing for him to read all of the stupid things he's said in the past but he's still out there saying stupid things for the future.

Meanwhile Yasko, Buttar, and every other quack he endorses are planning for an early retirement thanks to all of the rubes he's helped to rope in.

So I don't even know what to say about the following quote.

"So far, we are about 80% of the way through Metals I on BOTH boys and WOW!!! The stimming for Jamie went WAY up and Sam has been super-aggressive."

Was this an email? Is someone getting punked here? That's no snarky comment about the kid either.

If this is real, I am disturbed beyond any pathetic blog comment jousting. This is not cool at all. Using an NT child as a control is called an experiment. It's what we do with mice. It's what I do with mice. In a lab. Under the watchful eye of ethics oversight committees. WTH.

RNA Drops Keep Falling On The Web

RNA drops keep fallin' on my head
And just like the gal whose PhD is in her head
Nothin' seems to fit
Those RNA drops are fallin' on my head, they keep callin'

So I just did me some talkin to Gordon
And I said I really liked the way he got things done
Cheatin' as a job
Those RNA drops are fallin' on my head, they keep callin'

But there's one thing I know
The words they send beseech me they won't teach me
It won't be long till charlatans step up to cheat me

RNA drops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my bills will soon be turnin' red
Science aint for me
'Cause I'm never gonna sell this stuff by explainin'
I'll charge my fee
Nothin's worryin' me

It won't be long till FDA steps up to greet me

RNA drops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean this stuff will work the way I said
Science aint for me
'Cause I'll never rescue all these kids with my trainin'
'Cause it aint free
Calling Doktor Amy

as the father of an autistic boy whose mother insists on using the yasko protocol, i was very interested in your rna presentation. i know the protocol is crap, however; all i can do is empty my wallet and hope this all goes away soon. in any event, being a nonscientst (just a skeptic at heart), i had a lot of trouble understanding your explanation of rna chemistry. could you point me to another source that scientific neophites like myself could read to better understand what your saying? thanks

you can try these, and I'm grabbing vids that other people have made and I'll do a voice-over but it'll take a few days.

BC, you asked where the JB Handley's message came from. It looks like it came from a Yahoo! group. I'd guess it might be AMBD. I'm sure JB just wants peak performance for both of his boys, no mediocrity allowed. Since he can buy RNA drops by the case, it's not like money is a problem. Amy probably gives him a celebrity discount anyway, knowing that JB will push it for her. It's amazing that she works with the guy who sold Kerry the EDTA that killed Tariq.

Question: What enzyme degrades RNA?
Answer: RNase.
Question: Where can you find RNAse.
Answer: Everywhere. In your sweat, in your saliva, in your gut.

Read the Discover article and am curious about Yasko's protocol and reputation.

I'm not running out to chelate my ASD child, but the fact that mainstream physicians still discount the role of nutrition's impact on health (beyond the "burgers and fries will make you fat and cause heart attacks" kind of stuff) still boggles my mind.

After removing dairy from my diet (despite repeated protests by the dermatologist that only the Tetracycline he could prescribe would help, nothing you eat causes acne - talk about selling Snake Oil), my nasty case of cystic (so-called "hormonal") acne cleared up completely as did my nursing daughter's eczema.

In addition, I have had elevated LFTs for over 10 years, and a positive ANA marker for lupus. The rheumatologist said I don't have lupus, just that one positive marker for unknown reasons. The GI doc tested me for everything under the sun before determining it was fatty liver due to being fat. Except when they first found those elevated LFTs, I was 21 and not at all overweight. At 31, despite not being celiac or having an official allergy to wheat, after going gluten-free my LFTs and ANA are now completely normal - after 10 YEARS of chronic elevations. That doesn't happen by chance, despite the fact that all of the physicians of the world seem to think there's no way the two can be correlated. Later, I had a discussion with my PT and found that another of her clients, an asymptomatic Celiac, also had chronically elevated LFTs until going gluten-free.

I don't believe it is that far out of the realm of viability for diet to have a profound impact on one's health. Heck, even the Dan Active yogurt commercials state that a significant portion of your immune system lies in your digestive tract and maintaining a healthy balance of good bacteria is necessary. Chronic overuse of antibiotics and the resulting imbalance in the digestive tract can impact neurological functioning. They've found it true of HIV/AIDS patients - why not kids on the spectrum?

I'm not buying RNA drops at $100 a pop, but I firmly believe in a strong link between the compromised immune response of certain kids and the resulting neurological impact on their little brains. Is it really so far out in left field to think the two are linked?
